Ok i got my belly button pierced on may 1st 2008 (btw i was only 14) ok so its been a while since its been done but now it tooks kinda like its infected? so bascailly i would like to know 1.how do i ... know if its infected and 2.if it is infected how to i fix it? thank you for your time =)Answer:
It sounds like you may have an infection. Okay First off DO NOT take it out if you take it out you run the risk of it closing up and trapping the infection under your skin which would make everything much worse for you. Second do not use alcohol or peroxide on it a piercing is technically a puncture wound and neither of those products are suggested for puncture wounds. Go see your piercer if they confirm that it is in fact an infection then go see a doctor for antibiotics.Edit: also avoid Neosporin or any creams for that matter. They will actually keep bacteria in and make the infection worse.
