Question:
I'm making a loose interpretation of meatball stroganoff fo dinner. I took meatballs I had made before and am oven simmering them in a sauce made with onions, mushrooms, garlic, beef stock, ... balsamic, dijon, dill, parsley and thyme. I'll be serving this over egg noodles, and thought I had sour cream to mix into the sauce when it came out of the oven. I don't have sour cream, but I do have Boursin cheese that I can soften, or I can use 1/2 cup of milk soured with vinegar. What should I use??? I please help, dinner is in 20 minutes :) Thanks so much!Answer:
the sour milk should work, if you have plain yogurt it will work too but it is thinner and you may need to add some flour to thicken it.i saw this on the website below
