I am very scared i need to know if any of these fish die in 8.5 ph plecos, kuhli loach, catfish, african dwarf frog? PLease help

Most likely will not thrive in that high of a pH. That about where marine aquariums are at. Kuhli loaches like a pH of about 6.5 (slightly acidic). That's when they will do the best. It is a good investment because it lasts a long time and is easy to use. If you don't have a petsmart you can buy similar items at petco or your local fish store. Just remember you want the bests possible environment as you can make for your loaches.
And never drop your pH more than .4 at a time with loaches for they may not be able to handle a huge drop all at once.
